1. Presidio Nuestra Se๑ora de Los Dolores Marker
Inscription. Built by Capt. Domingo Ramon, 1716. Repaired and enlarged by Marquis of San Miguel de Aguayo, 1721. Abandoned about 1730. Built by the Spanish government as a fort and headquarters for soldiers to guard the East Texas missions and the borders of the New Phillipines.
 
Erected 1936 by State of Texas Highway Department. (Marker Number 9303.)
