1. Welles & Wilcox Manufacturing Marker

Inscription.
This is the site of one of the buildings of the Welles and Wilcox Edge Tool Manufacturing Co.

Welles and Wilcox manufactured chisels, plantation hoes and various other edged tools for many years in these buildings.

Other buildings occupied by this company were located nearby, including the mill building in the hollow.

All that is left today are the steps and part of the stone foundation of the building, which can be seen in the woods.
