Dylan Cease received a scholarship offer from Vanderbilt before opting to go pro out of high school in 2014. Following the 2015 season, Cease was rated the second-best prospect in the Arizona League by Baseball America. Cease was traded to the White Sox from the Cubs, alongside future Dash player Eloy Jimenez, in 2017. After making his MLB debut in 2019, Cease led the AL during the 2021 season in strikeouts per 9 IP at 12.278.
