A 1991 1st round draft pick by the Chicago Cubs, Doug Glanville was the first African-American Ivy League graduate to play in the majors. Glanville ended his career going 293 consecutive games without fielding an error. Following his playing career, Glanville wrote for the New York Times and, in 2010, joined ESPN as a baseball color analyst. Glanville later became a teacher at the University of Connecticut.
