Roger E. Stansfield
Professor of Chemistry 1956 - 1992
Grounded in the liberal arts, Roger Stansfield often brought the humanities into his chemistry courses. A longtime chair of the Chemistry Department, he also was a leader of professional and religious organizations. A proponent of foreign study, he taught in West Pakistan from 1964 - 1966. He won the Bechberger Award, the Student Senate Award and the Strosacker Award for Teaching Excellence. He will be remembered as a mentor who inspired and empowered students to move beyond their own expectations for success.
