Having two stints in the city of Winston-Salem, Gavin Sheets played his college ball for Wake Forest from 2014-2017 before being drafted in the second round by the Chicago White Sox. Sheets returned to Camel City one year later, suiting up for the Dash, on his journey to the majors. Sheets made his MLB debut mid-season in 2021; smacking 11 home runs in his debut season.
