Known as "Nicky Two Strikes" due to his nature of making contact with the ball when down in the count, Nick Madrigal was drafted fourth overall in the 2018 MLB draft by the Chicago White Sox. During his sophomore year in college, Madrigal was named to the College World Series All-Tournament team. In 2021, Madrigal's twin brother Ty Madrigal made his debut for the Dash as a pitcher.
