This great administrator, scholar and preacher gave the college distinguished and effective leadership during fourteen chaotic years covering a depression and a World War, achieving a tripled enrollment, expanded plant and heightened academic prestige in the Methodist Church and at the college helm, his accomplishments merit grateful remembrance.
