…He moved to Frankfurt to 15 Danziger Platz on Oct 6. 1938. then moved to Amsterdam and lived at Velazquezstraat 17. He lived there with his daughter Dr. Malli Rothschild.

He resisted a nazi soldier that came to his house, and hit him with his walking cane.

Later, Joseph was deported to Westerbork Camp in Holland, and then to Auschwitz on February 16th 1943. His daughter Malli was sent to Sobivor extermination Camp. He was murdered 3 days after his deportation to Auschwitz on Feb. 19, 1943 in Auschwitz, he was 90 years old!
