Inscription. The Tanner Cabin was originally built at Clover, Utah as a home for the Tanner family, but it was eventually made into a Blacksmith Shop. Junius "Junk" Tanner built a newer home in front of this log cabin prior to 1924. J.J. was known as "Junk Tanner" due to his penchant for collecting old cars and other antiques.

Vincent Tanner, a relative of the Tanner family, returned to take pictures of the log house and told Arlene Russell stories of Indians passing near by the house as evidenced by arrowheads found in the area. This cabin was donated by Arlene Russell to the Benson Grist Mill Historic Site in 1997.
