Inscription. The structure of this building is a replica of a blacksmith shop originally located on the lane at the Kennecott Ranch located opposite of Adobe Rock in Lake Point, Utah. The William K. Dunne family built the original building with clapboard siding. With permission from Kennecott, the building was donated by DeLaun Blake in 1992 and moved to this historic site. However, the structure, with its dirt floor, was too deteriorated to save and had to be razed. Boyd Blanthorn and Gordon Roberts completed the inside of the new building in 2002, to be used for pioneer exhibits.
