1. Let There Be Light Marker
Inscription. The Olmsted Power Plant, a historic structure, was constructed in 1904 by a predecessor to Rocky Mountain Power and is still in use today. The plant generates power from water diverted from the Provo River. During the last 100 years, water has reached the plant by both wooden flume and steel pipeline.

Location. 40° 18.948′ N, 111° 39.241′ W. Marker is in Orem, Utah, in Utah County. It is in Orchard North. It is on E. Provo Canyon Road. A large pullout just as you exit the canyon allow access close to the marker. Otherwise, access the marker via the Provo River Parkway trail. Touch for map.
