1. Ritchie County Veterans Memorial
Inscription.
Our grateful county and country honor those who served or are serving our country and have helped preserve the freedoms we have today. This memorial was first established to honor not only the memory of a Pearl Harbor survivor, but ALL men and women from Ritchie County from all branches of service - who sacrificed to ensure our freedoms.
We extend our greatest appreciation to all who have served in times of war, and in times of peace.
For your Honor, Duty & Loyalty . . . We Thank You

Appreciation to Cairo Masonic Lodge #114, who provided the first location for the memorial and then this permanent location when it was moved here by TC Towing; to Barnard Construction of Bozeman, MT, who provided a unique, downstream panel from the North Bend Dam to hold the bronze plaques; to McCullough-Raiguel Funeral Home for their support of this project, & to volunteers overseeing this place of honor
