1. Molen de Traanroeier / Windmill de Traanroeier / Mühle de Traanroeier Marker
In 1727 is de molen De Traanroeier gebouwd in Zaandam. In de negentiende eeuw raakte de molen daar in verval. Het bedrijf Keijser en Co. op Texel heeft in 1902 de molen aangekocht, verscheept en in Oudeschild weer geheel opnieuw opgebouwd onder leiding van timmerman Klaas Kuiper uit Den Hoorn. In de jaren '60 van de vorige eeuw werd deze molen als landelijke primeur omgebouwd voor energieopwekking uit wind door de voormalige TEM, wat later van PEN, ENW tot het huidige NUON werd. Hierbij kreeg hij in de TEM- periode ook zijn aluminium wieken. Eind jaren '90 verliet de ENW met zijn onderhoudsmedewerkers Texel, doordat het eiland aangesloten werd op het landelijke elektriciteitsnet. De molen als hun eigendom liet men echter zonder oplossing achter, en raakte als monument in verval. Door een plaatselijke handtekeningenactie voor het behoud hiervan droeg de ENW de molen voor een symbolisch bedrag over aan de opgerichte Stichting De Traanroeier, welke hem weer terug liet restaureren tot oorspronkelijke graanmolen. This mill the Traanroeier, was built in Zaandam in 1727. It slowly fell into decay during the 19th century. The Texel-based company Keyser & Co. bought the mill in 1902, shipped it to Texel and rebuilt it in Oudeschild under guidance of carpenter Klaas Kuiper from Den Hoorn.
In the 1960s the mill was transformed for producing energy from wind by the former TEM, which later became the PEN, ENW and eventually the present NUON company. This was a national premier. During this transformation, it received its aluminium blades. At the end of the 1990s, the ENW left the island of Toxel along with the maintenance crew, since the island was connected to the national power net. The mill was left behind without any specific solution and the monument started to decay. A local petition for preserving the monument, the ENW transferred the mill for a symbolic amount to the newly founded Stichting the Traanroeier, which had it restorded to its original state as grinding mill for grain. Nowadays, the mill can be visited during opening hours and grinds flour from Texel-grown grain for original Texel bread.

2. Windmill de Traanroeier and Marker
In den 60er Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts wurde die Mühle für Energie-Erzeugung umgebaut und hat dann auch Alu-Flügel bekommen. Die Stromerzeugung war kein wirklicher Erfolg: dieses Experiment wurde 20 Jahre später wieder abgeblasen. Die Mühle wurde von Stichting De Traanroeier gekauft und wieder umgebaut in eine Getreidemühle. Die Mühle kann während der Öffnungszeiten besichtigt werden und mahlt wieder Mehl aus Texelschem Getreide für echtes Texelsches Brot.
