Inscription. Ringwood's WWI Honour Boards

Many churches and schools in Ringwood raised money to create honour boards to hang in a prominent position in their buildings.

Honour boards were displayed in the Ringwood Mechanics Hall, St Paul's Anglican, Ringwood Presbyterian, the Methodist Church, the Ringwood State School and the Rechabites in Jubilee Hall in Station Street, now the site of the current Ringwood RSL.

The honour boards preceded the Memorial Clocktower, and in some cases, were created before the end of the war, therefore names were not always listed alphabetically.
