Fire Engine House
The Engine House was built by Village artisans in 1992 to house and display our antique fire engine. The Queen is a hand pumper built in 1851 by George Perry & Bros. of Montreal. It came to Upper Canada Village from Lyn, a small village north of Brockville. Mill owners were especially apprehensive about destructive fires, and often donated buildings to have a fire engine and equipment nearby.
