Providence Chapel
This small log church comes from Kitley Township, north of Brockville, a distance of 80 kilometers north-west of here. It was built in the 1850s and served as a shared facility for several Protestant denominations in this sparsely settled area. Reconstructed at Upper Canada Village in 1960, it now represents a small Methodist congregation. By the 1860s, Methodists were the largest Protestant group in Canada West.
