Inscription.
Montgomery County has a rich history of bravery and sacrifice. Each monument stands as a testament to that legacy. Every name engraved on these walls belongs to a brave son or daughter of Montgomery County who paid the ultimate price for freedom.

Beginning with William B. Travis' famous letter “To the People of Texas and All Americans in the World,” the citizens of this county have long exemplified courage and determination in the face of tyranny.

Here, we honor their sacrifice.
