Bill Lear
Bill Lear is most famous for founding Learjet. He also invented the battery eliminator for the B battery, developed the 8-track cartridge, and received over 120 patents. Lear is a member of the National Aviation Hall of Fame, International Air & Space Hall of Fame, and the National [I]nventors Hall of Fame. He was born in Hannibal, MO.
