Inscription. The Bell Tower (right) is a round-arched bell-cote midway along the top of the eastern battlements.

The north pilaster supporting the arch is built on top of a chimneystack that served the fireplaces in the ‘Great Hall’ and the ‘Banqueting Hall’.
