Inscription.
The Kiwanis Park Veterans Memorial Monument was funded by various businesses, civic organizations and local citizens. It was unveiled and dedicated on May 30, 1987, and stands today as an eternal memorial to all of the residents of the Seaford School District who made the ultimate sacrifice by giving their live during conflict of war.

In 2024, through the support of State Senator Bryant Richardson, Representative Danny Short, Sussex County Council President Mike Vincent, City of Seaford Mayor and Council and the Seaford Kiwanis, the additional components were funded - additional sidewalk with burial flag design, lighting, flags and branch of service medallions were added to the memorial.

The inset burial flag design was completed with gold stars to represent and recognize those Gold Star Families within our community who lost a loved one. A Gold Star Family is the immediate family member(s) of a fallen service member who died while serving in a time of conflict.

"Let us never forget!"
