Inscription. Built for John T. Jarvis, this victorian house was occupied by members of his family until 1974. In 1914, the tall tower and third story dormer windows were removed and a new front porch and central gable were added to reflect the term popular bungalow style. A local businessman, Jarvis served from 1915 to 1925 as a city councilman and from 1926 to 1928 as mayor.
