Inscription.  
Tot 1586 Begijnhofkapel. Toren en eenbeukig schip herbouwd na brand in 1348. Verhoogd koor met fresco's ca. 1400. Sacristie met houten gotische overwelving. Ingang met driehoekig fronton en guirlande uit ca. 1670. Oudste kerk van Haarlem.

(English translation:)
Served as the Beguine convent chapel until 1586. Tower and single-aisled nave rebuilt after a fire in 1348. Raised choir featuring frescoes from c. 1400. Sacristy with Gothic wooden vaulting. Entrance with a triangular pediment and garland dating from c. 1670. Haarlem's oldest church.
