1. Mackey House Marker
Inscription.
This mid-century modern residence was designed in 1967 by architect Lois Davidson Gottlieb, an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright, in collaboration with homeowners Edward and Barbara Mackey. Completed in 1971, the home integrates harmoniously with the rocky hillside to take advantage of stunning views and the path of the sun. It features poured-in-place concrete walls and chimneys plus a dramatic combination of clerestory, louvered and geometric windows. A carefully curated palette of colors and materials ties the home together, accented by repeating chevron motifs and custom built-in furniture with integrated storage.

Erected by City of Riverside Cultural Heritage Board. (Marker Number 127.)
