1. Banneker Junior High School Marker
Inscription. Banneker Junior High School opened on Euclid Street NW in 1938, and served as a junior high school until 1981. That summer, the junior high closed, and its campus was repurposed as Benjamin Banneker Academic High School. The high school moved to 9th Street and Rhode Island Avenue NW in 2021.
