This Trail of Honor is dedicated to those military personnel with a direct connection to the City of Norfolk who earned the Medal of Honor while in service to their country. The Medal of Honor is the highest military award presented for acts of valor above and beyond the call of duty and is usually presented by the President of the United States in a formal ceremony in the White House.
