Coach Mike Cooney
In memory of Mike Cooney a dedicated teacher and coach at Wahconah Regional High School. Coach Cooney served as Wahconah's first softball coach, leading the program for 18 seasons from 1975-1992. During his career he recorded 245 wins, 6 league titles, and captured Western Massachusetts titles in 1983 and 1987. Coach Cooney was inducted into the CRA Athletic Hall of Fame in 2020. His passion and enthusiasm will be greatly missed but will live on through the players and coaches in the Wahconah softball program.
