Inscription.
Seth Thomas came to Plymouth Hollow in 1813 to manufacture clocks. By 1860 his company was producing 40,000 clocks annually. These clocks were considered the "Tiffany's" of CT clock making. This building was erected in 1915 and became Seth Thomas Clock Co. headquarters.
