Jersey Shore in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania — The American Northeast (Mid-Atlantic)
In the Beginning
| | Pine Creek Rail Trail | |
Before time itself had a name, these forests were here.
Except for the music of the wind, birds and brooks, the forests stood silent. The rugged mountains, deep hollows and vast forests of north central Pennsylvania were known only to the wild creatures that thrived here.
And when the sun sank below the ridges, the skies deepened to cobalt... then infinite black, revealing a trillion stars blazing brightly and spinning above the wilderness.
But this serene landscape would be changed. Native cultures would inhabit the forests and begin to alter the landscape.
Later, the vast natural resources would be discovered and exploited by the Europeans, an advanced culture driven and destined to civilize a continent and forge a new country...
