Inscription. Marine Officer, industry leader, husband, father, grandfather, and philanthropic giant. He was the embodiment of courage, leadership, and patriotism. Al Lerner attributed his many achievements to his Marine Corps training and service. His love of the Corps is forever demonstrated here through his and his family’s magnificent generosity in helping make the Marine Corps Heritage Center and the National Museum of the Marine Corps a reality.
