“Tá ár sinsir i Laois leis na cianta. Seinnim ceol agus deirim dánta le ceiliúradh a dhéanamh ar scéalta saibhre ár bpobail. Is í an Ghaeilge ár dteanga agus tá dlíthe agus nósanna dár gcuid féin againn. Tá na Sasanaigh ag bagairt ar ár modh maireachtála agus tá a dteanga agus a rialacha féin á gcur i bhfeidhm acu. Ach tá ár gcuid talún faoi chosaint Mhuintir Uí Mhórdha, dream a throideann go fíochmhar in aghaidh na nGall.”
“Our ancestors have been living in Laois for centuries. I celebrate the rich stories of our community by playing music and reciting poetry. We speak Irish and have our own laws and customs. The English are threatening our way of life and are imposing their own language and rules. But our land is protected by the O’More family who fight fiercely against this foreign control.”
