1. Benjamin Rockhold House Marker
Inscription. Designed by James C. Stanley, this house is unusual in its combination of craftsman and Swiss Chalet architectural styles. Original owner, Benjamin Rockhold, owned multiple citrus groves and served on the boards of directors of Citizens Bank, National Bank of Riverside, and the United Wholesale Grocers of Los Angeles. He and his brother John established the successful Rockhold Brothers Grocery in 1889. Originally located in the mile square at 4220 Lemon Street, the Mullen family moved the house in 1998.
