Inscription. Construction of this Methodist church was completed in 1885 in the hamlet of Corbetton, Melancthon Township. It served as a centre of community life in Corbetton for many decades until it was relocated to this site at the Dufferin County Museum and Archives in 1999. The relocation and restoration of the church was made possible through the efforts and generosity of many supporters and volunteers from the local community. The restored church, which officially re-opened in September 2000, stands as a tribute not only to the Corbetton community, but also to the architecture found in communities all acnoss Dufferin.
