1. Jackson T. Stephens Marker

Inscription. As a native Arkansas Jack Stephens has worked his entire life toward improving economic development and education in his state. His service to the University of Arkansas as a member of the Board of Trustees (1948-1958) helped move the University to high prominence and excel at the national level. Mr. Stephens originated the coach's show concept, as it is known today in Arkansas and across the nation, to benefit the U of A athletic program. His management of the shows and fund raising skills enable Arkansas to hire nationally competitive coaches. Jack Stephens' contributions, primarily unseen by the general public have been instrumental to the Razorbacks' enormous growth and success.
