1. Well or Magazine Pit Marker

Inscription.
A twenty five foot well or magazine pit was excavated at this location.

The opening was five feet square and the walls were lined with timbers.

Among other things, a wooden windlass was found at the bottom of the well and is now at Garst Museum.

From this pit, an underground passage ran north east for 60 feet.
