Although the exact date and manufacturer of this wagon are not known, it is possible that it was made by the Auburn Wagon Works in Martinsburg, WV around 1900.
Wagons were used to transport goods both on the farm and to local markets, boat landings and railheads. Goods shipped to Batsto were delivered by boat or railroad and then carried overland by wagon.
