1. Washington Park Veterans Memorial Marker

Inscription. In the early 2000's Eric Engram coordinated the donation and installation of the Cobra Helicopter and surrounding Veterans Memorial in Washington Park. This was part of his Eagle Scout Project. He worked tirelessly to complete all the necessary parts of this project. The community assisted with monetary and material donation and we are grateful for all that helped.

In the Summer of 2024, John Turnbull completed an Eagle Scout project to rehab the helicopter. The helicopter restoration project was important because it not only improved the quality of a memorial for the community but for some of the most important people in the country, veterans. This memorial signifies the importance of the job these veterans did for us and helps respect them. This project took about 3 total months starting with planning to completion and a combined total of 216 hours of work among John and his volunteers. John Turnbull and his Dad both worked on power washing the helicopter and a fellow Eagle Scout, David Stevenart, helped with some of the painting of the helicopter.
