Inscription. Edward Dilworth Latta (1851-1925), a prominent local entrepreneur, built the Dilworth Drugstore on this site in 1904. The Dilworth Drugstore played an important role in the growing community. The store's soda fountain was a natural gathering place for local residents. While serving the residents' medicinal needs, the store also served as a post office. The second floor was used often as a meeting place for the Dilworth municipal council. Since that time, the building has had a variety of owners and purposes.
