1. The Raine Cabin Marker

Inscription. This Cabin was originally built in about 1836, most likely for Hezekial Owen Stovall, one of the first residents of what is now Radcliff. It was originally located on W. Vine Street.

The most recent owner of this Cabin was Ida Raine for whom the Cabin is now named. She donated the Cabin to the City of Radcliff, who then had it moved to the entrance of the Saunders Springs Nature Preserve in 2003.

Notice that the rough hewn logs are round rather than square, typical of Log Cabins built before 1850. This Cabin has a sleeping loft.
