Inscription. Sleaford Station, listed at Grade 2, was built in 1857 by the Boston, Sleaford and Midland Counties Railway, and extended in 1882 for the Great Northern & Great Eastern Joint Railway.

In 2022, the station was repainted in LNER colours, and the waiting room on Platforms 2 & 3 was restored for community use.
