1. Stewart Building Marker

Inscription. Constructed c. 1856-1858, the Stewart Building façade was reduced from five to two bays in 1968 with the building of the current Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. The remaining structure is an excellent example of mid 19th century commercial architecture and is one of the few surviving original buildings in St George's Square.

Erected 2009 by City of Guelph.
