Inscription.
Sunday evening, eight BTFD firefighters responded to a call from Springfeld Twp for a barn fire. The truck crashed enroute, killing three, including the fire chief, and seriously injuring five.

Perished:
Chief Earl Brubaker; Homer McCormick, 45; Roy Miner, 47

Injured:
Emmett Haas, 65; Howard Hartman, 45; Clarence Siedner, 34; Max Haddaway, 32

We dedicate this memorial to their memory and to all firefighters, past, present and future, who venture into the unknown on every call to protect life and property.
