1. Frankenmugh Veteran's Memorial Marker

Inscription. On October 14, 1995, the Frankenmuth American Legion Post 150 dedicated this Memorial as a tribute to our veterans, It depicts war and peace, life and death, and hope. A granite block to the right of the Memorial explains the symbols incorporated in the structure.

In gratitude to God and in recognition of all who served to defend and preserve the American ideals of peace and liberty

Memorial Symbols

The Doves... are the symbol of our timeless desire for peace.
The Chimes... echo the sounds of liberty.
The Pillars... represent the four corners of the earth where American soldiers have gone to defend liberty. They are arched and joined above the hallowed red ground to convey the feeling of an open chapel for meditation.
The Globe... a reminder that the earth is our only home and we must learn to live together in peace.

On the 30th of May 1988, in a Memorial Day address, Wallace Bronner envisioned a memorial to "The Memory of All Veterans."
This site is the result of that vision.
