Inscription. Trees Charlotte annually plants thousands of trees in partnership with the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County to diversify and enlarge our iconic canopy. The non-profit promotes tree stewardship and preservation education. Dave Cable was the founding executive director.

Johnny Harris grew up hearing this wise advice. The family credo inspired developer Harris to become our city's champion tree planter and Trees Charlotte founding co-chair. This inviting sanctuary garden is the gift of the John W. and Deborah Harris Family Foundation. It honors donors whose generosity assures our blessed urban forest will forever shelter and benefit every Queen City neighborhood.
