Korean War Memorial. . 평화의 사도, Ambassador of Peace, 우리의 조국 대한민국이 1950년 6.25동란으로 풍전등화의 위기에 처했을 때 캐나다의 젊은이 26,791명이 자원하여 한반도에서 자유수호를 위해 용맹스럽게 싸웠고 이를 중 516명의 소중한 생명이 산화되었습니다. 이 한국전 참전용사들의 평화와 민주수호를 위한 숭고한 희생정신을 캐나다 국민들과 함께 깊이 새기며 오래토록 그들의 명예를 존중하고 또한 대한민국과 캐나다의 우정을 영원히 기념하고 보존하기 위하여 평화의 사도인 조형물을 건립하였습니다., On June 25, 1950 while Korea was in turmoil 26,791 young Canadians volunteered to fight bravely for freedom in the Korean Peninsula. 516 precious lives were lost. We honour the veterans of the Korean War for their sacrifice to preserve peace and democracy. The monument, Ambassador of Peace, will forever commemorate and maintain the spirit of friendship between Korea and Canada., In honour of the 36 soldiers from British Columbia who sacrificed their young lives for the people of Korea whom they never knew.
