Camp Pendleton South, California — The American West (Pacific Coastal)
AH-1
With primary missions of close air support and close escort, the Cobra has been essential to supporting the primary customer of Marine Aviation, the individual Marine on the ground. Armed with a wide variety of weapons ranging from the three barrel 20mm gun to hellfire missiles, the AH-1 proved its worth time and again.
Versatile, well-designed, and deadly, the Cobra has been the iron hammer of the Marine Air Ground Task Force.
