More about this marker. The marker is mounted low on the north corner of the building just above the decorative tilework.
Regarding Oddfellow's Hall 1910. This building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992 when the boundary of the Sonoma Plaza Historic District was expanded. The NRHP citation reads: "The IOOF Building, built in 1911, is a
Classic Revival style two story buff brick building with round arched 4-over-l wood windows on the second level, corbelled cornice and original transom windows at first floor level. The letters IOOF are spelled out in darker brick raised above the surrounding lighter brick. There have been no significant alterations."
The NRHP nomination form states that the building was constructed in 1911 while the marker on the building shows the date as 1910.
