In deze kerk werd het Nederlandsch Bijbelgenootschap opgericht. Wij danken God dat hij gedurende 150 jaren het werk van dit genootschap in stand hield en zegende.

worldwide. However, it was only after the fall of Napoleon that this became possible in the Netherlands and Flanders as well. Local Bible societies sprang up across the country, and from 1815 onwards, they collaborated within a single Dutch Bible Society. From 1815, the board of the Dutch Bible Society also assumed responsibility for Bible-related work in what was then known as the ‘Southern Netherlands’; from that point on, the local societies were designated as branches.
