1. This Bell Marker

Inscription. was cast in a Troy foundry in New York State and first served on a sailing vessel on Lake Erie then in the Town of London from 1848-1855. After a short time in St. John's (Arva) it was purchased in 1856 by 44 residents of the Carlisle community by subscription for £865 10 1/2d ($40.05) where it was used daily for many years. In 1984 it was brought from the home of Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Colvin, Cambridge, Ontario where it had been stored for safekeeping and placed on these grounds on June 16, 1985 to resume its historic role in our community.
