Dedicated to the memory of
Captain Robert Luis Pomerene
1924 - 1951
who died as a result of wounds received in action 12 February 1951 in Korea. The Silver Star was awarded posthumously to Captain Pomerene for his actions that day. During his tour in Korea he also earned the Second Oak Leaf Cluster to the Bronze Star Medal with “V” device and the Purple Heart. Captain Pomerene was graduated from the Russian Language Course in 1949.
